Pastor Ovadal responds to a "gay" Canadian Professor
Report for January 28, 2003

The following letter was written by Pastor Ralph Ovadal to Dr. Darren Lund. Recently Professor Lund tried to obtain a cassette copy of a "Heart of the Matter" interview that Pastor did some months back with Canadian Pastor Stephen Boissoin. The "gay" professor has dragged the pastor before a Human Rights Tribunal because he wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper. The letter was critical of homosexual acts. Now Pastor Boissoin is facing large fines and a possible jail sentence.

Dear Professor Lund,

It has come to my attention that you have requested a cassette copy of a certain "Heart of the Matter" program, specifically an interview I did with Pastor Steve Boissoin on December 3, 2002. I am turning down that request and returning your money to you.

Here at "The Heart of the Matter," we reserve the right to refuse to provide copies of our programs to anyone who would use them for immoral or illegal purposes. Since it is clear to us that you intend to use that particular program against a Christian brother of ours whom you are already persecuting, we will not send you the program. It is immoral and illegal according to God's eternal law to promote homosexual acts (see enclosed brochure). It is also immoral and illegal according to those same laws to attack a Christian because he has publicly stood up for what is right in God's eyes. Consider for instance Proverbs 17:15: "He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD." 

Sir, I would urge you to repent of your rebellion against God and put your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, or you will most surely spend eternity in the agony of hell. Meanwhile, please be advised that "The Heart of the Matter" is an American program; and as such, we do not live under the tyranny of your Canadian "Human Rights Commissions" but rather under the real liberty of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence upon which it is predicated. In short, your arrogance and bullying do not impress us in the least. May the Lord open your eyes to the eternal peril in which you stand as well as the deliverance, salvation, and peace available through faith in Jesus Christ.
