| Today,
November 6, some 2,000 homosexuals and their supporters will begin
registering to attend the National Gay Lesbian Task Force annual
convention which is being held this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the
downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel. The conference, which is titled
"Creating Change," has been represented as an event to train
"gay rights" activists. Among the headline speakers are open
lesbian Representative Tammy Baldwin and Anthony Romero, the executive
director of the ACLU. Thus far, the conference has been getting favorable
coverage from Milwaukee media outlets.
Wisconsin Christians United is planning a series of events Friday
and Saturday to protest the Creating Change conference and also to
confront the attendees and the public with the biblical truth about
homosexual acts. Friday morning at 10:00, WCU will hold a press conference
in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 333 West Kilbourn Avenue. During
the conference, Peter LaBarbera and Pastor Ralph Ovadal will expose the
real National Gay Lesbian Task Force and explain why homosexual acts are
against the law of God and bring His judgment on America. Later in the
week, WCU will send out a notice of other planned events and also more
information on NGLTF.
"In reality, the 'Creating Change' conference is
about equipping the cadres of New Sodom to better shove an increasingly
perverse agenda down Americans' throats. If the mainstream media give
NGLTF a free ride by not reporting on the perverse, wicked, and downright
weird seminars and workshops which will take place at the conference, then
the mainstream media are, for all practical purposes, a bunch of cross
dressers posing as press but working for the heirs of Sodom. Wisconsin
Christians United is going to make sure that every conference attendee
hears what God says about homosexual acts and that every attendee hears
the gospel of Jesus Christ."
Pastor Ralph Ovadal, Director, Wisconsin
Christians United
"My hope is that the Milwaukee media would apply
the same critical eye to the 'Creating Change' conference as it would to a
convention put on by religious conservatives. It's interesting that while
the Task Force smears its opponents as 'radical,' this year's Creating
Change conference features such workshops as a 'Drag 101' workshop for
youth; sadomasochism advocacy under the guise of 'sexual freedom'; and a
presentation led by a S&M activist entitled 'Your Eyes Say Yes But the
Law Says No' that will look at the laws regulating 'intergeneration sex' -
a North American Man Boy Love Association [NAMBLA] euphemism for
pedophilia."
